The sights along the Icefields Parkway are unrelenting splendor. Every turn in the road brings new buttes, peaks, emerald rivers, chartreuse lakes, wispy bridal veil falls from great heights, glaciers hanging from ledges, and a multitude of wild flowers among them. Indian paintbrush, wild asters (I think), fields of daisies, fireweed, and others I need help identifying. It’s an extraordinary place.
Long climb to the ice fields.
The Icefields Parkway links Jasper National Park and Banff National Park.
Grand mountain river pictures there. If the frozen food runs out, what are the chances of stopping for salmon?
